Did anyone manage to remove them. I was thinking of lithium orotate, black seed oil extract, inositol and sometime else I believe help. Wish I could get rehab this is so bad.

Seeking Advice I accidentally cured my ADHD and I don’t know exactly why. Help.

Long story short: I’ve been taking creatine over the past couple of months while hitting the gym. That, combined with going to the gym daily made some of my ADHD symptoms much better but still not dramatic. I’ve been taking Lions’s mane every couple of days and I can see very good side effects.

I bought Benfotiamine for enhanced metabolism and Testosterone Elite to help with the gym effort and started taking them at the beginning of the week. ADHD symptoms gone. Completely. I’ve been able to code or sustain intellectual effort for hours without losing my creativity, unlike Modafinil and others that take it away.

What is it? Something in this combo has a dramatic, personality changing effect on me. The Testosterone Elite pills have Theobromine in them which is known for its nootropic effects but I didn’t expect it would be the single substance contributing.

My addy plug went ghost and i started looking for something similar that would help with motivation/focus. Now Ive done some research and found that this doesnt cause any euphoria, however Im hoping it still compares to adderall in enhancing energy, focus, and motivation which is the most important thing im looking for. Im curious to see some of the experiences others have had with this.

Seeking Advice I have ADHD and I'm new to stacking. Can I get some help

Thumbnail gallery
197 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm new to stacking and was wondering if you guys can give me any insight into best practices or what combinations or nootropics/supplements to try out, of things to be aware of. I asked Gemini for some help and it outputted this schedule.

A little information: I am taking 15mg Adderall IR in the mornings with L-Theanine (200mg) and Omega-3 (1000mg), in the afternoon I am taking multivitamins (which contain B-complexes) with my lunch, and at night I am taking only Magnesium glycinate (120mg). All supplements are from the brand Pure Encapsulations. I am also an undergraduate STEM major. I want to improve overall focus and concentration to get school work done.

I also have a microdose vial of LSD that I would like tinker with and create a stack. Oh and one last thing, I don't take caffeine.

Seeking Advice Something lubricating like alcohol without the toxic load?

I have dealt with severe social anxiety pretty much all my life. Been diagnosed with CPTSD, Autism, ADHD (the works). Alcohol was my "medicine" to help me feel less alone when I felt lonely and actually communicate more fluently when I'm around others. I've gone through forms of talk therapy and have had my rounds of antidepressants, etheogens, etc and I am trying to accepts sense of being myself while sober. Just wondering if there is a substance that opens the gate (no physical anxiety and writers block on communication) without whipped out somatic feelings?

Seeking Advice Supplements for Severe Anxiety

In the last two months i’ve unfortunately developed 24/7 anxiety and panic attacks which i’ve never experienced before in my life.

I’m planning to get my bloods done to see if im deficient in any vitamins although have previously had them done and been told everything looks great.

I began taking ashwaganda and then stopped after reading people’s stories about withdrawal. I’m now looking into taking L-Theanine and wondering if it has helped anyone with a similar experience?

UPDATE - Probably not a positive one but I took 400mg of L-Theanine maybe an hour ago and due to the anxiety I get about taking medication I almost had a panic attack! Nothing to do with L-Theanine itself, just unfortunately my stupid brain! Panic settled about 30 mins after but not really feeling a change in my anxiety.

Seeking Advice RCs seized by customs, what to do?

Been taking an analog of modafinil for about 10 years (i have CFS). Never had a problem with getting it, never had a single bad side effect.

Most recent order (coming from Lithuania), got seized by customs claiming I was trying to bring in modafinil. But it isnt modafinil.

Haven't been able to get a doc to prescribe me moda/armoda, even though Ive been prescribed it by multiple doctors in the past, now they all turn me away. Don't have insurance, so seeing 100 docs often isnt a feasible option for me (ive seen four and been turned away).

Anyone know if I order again if it will likely be seized? Any way I can get it brought in without a fun letter from customs?

Seeking Advice Embarrassing Question - How to stop jerking off for hours on Vyvanse?

Hello all,

I have an embarrassing question to ask.I have seen others allude to this issue on this subreddit but I’m curious if others have any advice on how to address this.

Last year I was on 20mg of Vyvanse and found it to be great for my performance at work and overall executive functioning.

The issue would be during the evenings and at home, I would “lock-in” and masterburate for hours on end. Occasionally is fine but this would occur almost every day and I’d be mortified once I came out of it.

Has anyone on this subreddit had a similar issue? Was there anything you did/take to stop this from happening when taking Vyvanse?

Seeking Advice Advice on Nootropic Order

Thumbnail gallery
40 Upvotes

How does this order look? If people have better sources for shipping to the East Coast of the U.S. lmk. Also if u have any alternative recommendations to these specific compounds, I’m open to suggestions.

I’m M 21yrs. Currently only taking OTC stuff, Alpha GPC, L-theanine, Zinc, & Mag Glycinate a couple times a week. Topical minoxidil.

If you’re wondering why these compounds, the phenibut is specifically for my crippling anxiety during public speaking which is required in my university curriculum. (Open to alternatives like propanol) Also I have internship interviews I’d like to be less nervous in. Selank is similar but also for studying bc I have poor attention and the intranasal effects r relatively mild from what I’ve read. Aniracetam also for potential cognitive benefits. I am aware of each risk profile and don’t plan on regular use of anything. Again, if these products or brands look bad, please let me know before I order. Any advice is welcome. 🫶

Seeking Advice Best drug or supplement to take me out of a constant “fight or flight” mode?

Feel as if I’m constantly in a fight or flight mode, with constant anxiety and poor stress response. Any slight stressor will trigger my body to get hot and HR to shoot up. I also wake up and immediately feel a sense of dread.

Preferably not a benzo. Something I can take everyday. What about propranolol for this purpose as it crosses the blood brain barrier?

Seeking Advice Getting a Modafinil prescription in the US

Short version: US-based and looking for advice on the quickest/easiest way to get a Modafinil prescription. What type of doctor/clinic should I go to, and how should I approach the appointment? TIA.

Long version: I’ve been struggling more and more with focus, concentration, and daytime energy, and it’s starting to significantly affect my work. I’m self-employed, so the decline in my ability to stay focused and productive has been particularly disruptive.

I also have a pretty messed-up sleep schedule. I have a hard time falling asleep at night, but can fall asleep relatively easily during the day. My focus and energy seem to have been getting worse over time.

I’ve done a lot of research on Modafinil and Bromantane together, and I’m really interested in trying it. I’m not really looking for a discussion about whether I should take it—I’ve already made up my mind that I want to. What I’m looking for is practical advice from people in the US who have successfully gotten a prescription for Modafinil..

For those who have done this:

  • What type of doctor or clinic did you go through?
  • Did you use a sleep specialist, psychiatrist, primary-care doctor, telehealth service, etc.?
  • What did you tell them about your symptoms/sleep schedule?
  • Were there any particular evaluations or diagnoses involved?
  • Are there legitimate telehealth options that will evaluate and prescribe it if appropriate?

I’ve also seen that Bromantane seems to be much easier to access, so I am not worried about obtaining it. But if anyone has firsthand experience with it, I’d also appreciate recommendations for reputable suppliers with independent third-party testing, along with how you verify that the product is legitimate.

Basically, I’m looking for a practical roadmap from people who have actually gone through the process I am trying to go through currently in the US. Thanks!

Seeking Advice Best nootropic for social anxiety?

I have severe AD-HD and am prescribed 50mg vyvanse for it, I have bad social anxiety and I am wondering what I can use to reduce it. Consuming alcohol makes me a lot more social and normal, but I do not love drinking and it isn't sustainable. Any tips?

Seeking Advice ADhD. If you’ve gone through the whole nootropic rabbit hole and actually landed on something that works, what is it?

I’m looking for insight from ADHDers (especially type 2) who’ve gone deep into this journey and tried everything they could and finally found something that works for them. It’s a huge plus if you actually understand the mechanisms and not just “this worked for me because I felt better.” Or just tell me why it worked and why didn’t symptoms wise no need to explain.

The rest is just context feel free to skip

Here’s my story: My psychiatrist thought I was depressed, put me on SSRIs, but since serotonin counteracts with dopamine, it only made everything worse. They started suspecting ADHD, but because I was a “high performer” in school, it kept getting dismissed as you can’t just start having ADHD in adulthood, you have to have struggled with school etc etc

But no one around me really understands why I can’t get things done. I only study the night before exams, no matter what I try. The pressure is killing me. I kept fearing I’d fail and get discontinued from med school. I actually deferred for a year to avoid the embarrassment and try to reset.

Now that I’m back, I’ve fallen right back into the same pattern. The only difference is: I can’t afford to defer again. My classmates are two years ahead of me now. I don’t even know if I passed this time, I really hope I did, but I can’t let the same thing repeat next academic year and I can only hope I didn’t fail to actually get discontinued

What I’ve Tried:

I once tried microdosing golden teacher mushrooms, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it worked wonders. I don’t even want to go into specifics, but it was the first time I felt like “this is what my brain was meant to feel like.”

After that experience, I assumed actual ADHD meds would work even better. I tried explaining my symptoms to my psychiatrist but again, they dismissed me. Eventually I forged a Concerta prescription out of desperation.

All I can say is, it didn’t give me that urgency to do things like mushrooms did. It helped me focus longer sure, but only after I forced myself to even start. I had zero energy, insomnia, and nasty headaches. I was exhausted but couldn’t sleep. Had palpitations which probably was the reason I felt like I need to relax idk

Later I tried mushroom again, albino a++?? idk. I ordered for the same strain but idk they later told me it’s even more potent than golden teacher. But this one didn’t work at all. Idk if it has to do with it being a different strain. That’s what made me lose interest in trying mushroom again, the inconsistency in results, but I’m sure it’s not all up in my head. Oh I combined it with Concerta and it worked well. I could sleep, which meant less headaches, could function like 6.5/10, attend classes, and actually do things. But that stash is gone, and I can’t get Concerta again.

Where I’m at right now:

I’m honestly not sure what to do next. I’m scared if I go to another psychiatrist, they’ll just throw me back on antidepressants or give me a stimulant that will mess me up again. Maybe stimulants really are too harsh for my system??

Right now I’m having, brain zaps, muscle twitches (every 2-3 minutes, all over even my tongue), zaps in my body (like being startled/or like brain zaps minus the brain part) I’m guessing that’s from coffee + lack of sleep, (which is the only way I can actually save myself from failing) makes me feel like ADHD meds would probably do the same or make it worse, not better.

I’ve also tried omega-3: nothing noticeable. Magnesium: actually helped, best sleep, reduced twitches/zaps, and I wake up more energized than with sleeping pills But even with good sleep, I still can’t push myself to do things.

Like, we’re given 2 weeks to prep for exams, and I do nothing until the night before. Every. Single. Test.

I hate myself for this. I don’t know why I’m doing this to myself. It feels like trying to control someone else who doesn’t understand the magnitude of what I’m causing myself. People don’t get it they just say “why didn’t you study?” But I tried. I changed rooms, environments, techniques. I just kept getting mentally paralyzed maybe it’s the workload. Everyone even my psychiatrist/psychologist think I should drop out of med school and that it’s probably too difficult for me. It’s not difficult, if I can manage to understand a whole semester concept in one sitting, if I’m gonna fail it’s just because I didn’t cover everything, or go through the work exhaustively like looking into different books (I do more of researching far and wide than sticking to one source and cramming). So yeah I can’t drop out I’ve been in med school since 2020 that’d only make me feel more of a failure than I do rn.

So yeah, I want to hear from people who’ve been through this: • What finally worked for you? • Did you find something sustainable that helped with initiation (which is my biggest issue), not just attention? I’m good at hyper focusing but only if I start doing it • What did/didn’t work, and why

Seeking Advice Im so fucking tired all the time. I don’t know what to do about it anymore.

I got diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism back in 2022 which I’ve treated since then and have been on a stable dose of levothyroxine which I lowered a little and combined with T3 at 6,25mcg which helped a little but this deep mental fatigue like I haven’t slept enough even on 8 hours of sleep is still there sometimes and it’s awful (every time I test my thyroid hormones they are fine - no perfect but well within the target range). I’ve tried everything I could find as information and take a ton of supplements daily: magnesium glycinate, creatine, vitamin d, boron, zinc, copper, b complex, citicoline, l theanine, taurine, lions mane and the list goes on… Also some more experimental stuff like: Bromantane, selegiline, piracetam, eutropoflavin, tak-653, Naltorexone for the hypothyroidism which is supposedly hashimoto.

I try to stay in the sun almost every day upon waking up, strive for 8 hours of sleep, workout, run, go to sauna, eat clean most of the stuff you could think of I’ve tried and yeah I’m a lot better than how I was 2 years ago but still not like a normal human being.

The only thing that helps meaningfully is caffeine when I cycle it to prevent tolerance but on off days I can barely function.

I really need help with this, I don’t know what to do anymore. Every day is suffering especially when I haven’t slept perfectly.

Seeking Advice Struggling with benzo withdrawal.

Hi you beautiful people.

I have been on a nunber of different benzos for about 15 years now after being diagnosed with panic disorder.

Long story short, I did manage to control it a lot after a few years, but tappering off is hell on earth. Tried to get off them multiple times. I have tried literally all off them.

Right now I'm on 1mg of clonazepam and feels like I'm hitting a wall. Every time I reduce it more, the panic attacks jump up a lot. Not a way to live. The Aston manual doesn't work during the final steps (I used to be on 4mg of Xanax daily).

I recently tried L theanine and it did something for me, but as soon as it wore off I felt more nervous than before.

I know a lot of things can work on GABA , but problem is my receptors are probably fried and densitised after all these years.

I am wondering if there's anything that can provide relief from strong anxiety / stress without basically just replacing benzos since I want to come off and give my GABA receptors a chance to heal?

I know that nootropics definitely work since I noticed that this is by far the most articulate community I found on Reddit and I was hoping that your expertise might go beyond improving your focus or attention span?

Thank you all in advance for any suggestions.

Seeking Advice Want something cleaner than adderall

Hey all, 27 M diagnosed with ADHD that’s been on adderall for the better part of 2 years. I’ve recently noticed my cognitive alertness, speech, memory etc have been a lot slow than usual. Psychiatrist said it could be related to adderall and potentially explore other options. I’d love to explore a nootropic stack that can keep me going like adderall does without the disadvantages. Any pointers or advice would be great

EDIT: I know nothing is going to be close to what adderall is however I’m curious what nootropics/supplements/aids work well with adderall. Sustain a good come up/down, mood..etc. thanks in advance for the ignorance around this topic haha

Seeking Advice Story on modafinil and whats happening to me

I bought some modafinil 200 mg, they are not brand name nor are they prescribed. The first time I toke one was last Friday. I toke it around 4:00 am, then went to sleep because I wasn't fully awake, but kept waking up. I was going to sleeping and waking up every 10-30 mins. That day I felt good, Saturday and Sunday were alright the pills were helping a bit. On Monday, I only slept two hours, and slept 5:00 am the next day. So, I was living off two hours of slept for 25 hours. Then on Tuesday I didn't take any modafinil, I toke One yesterday and today but I just lay on my bed and have no motivation to do anything. When I do get up and start studying, I cant even focus and just quit.

Currently it is Saturday and i toke one around 10 because i was sleep deprived. My body feels okay, not tired, but my mind is very foggy, and weird. I cant think very clearly or have any motivation for anything today even though i have a lot of things that need to be done. I think i will just be laying around and doomscrolling or playing games.

Any tips on what's been happening to me, how I should deal with this?

I understand what i did was wrong, my goal was to wake up early, take it, sleep for like 1 hour until it starts to kick in. Then go about my day without feeling tired, if slept early this would’ve worked, then on weekends i would just fill the sleep lost during the week. Also I’m broke, and I’m thinking about just getting Vyvanse, but i will be careful because it’s easy to abuse it.

Seeking Advice Feeling trapped. Don't want to take SSRIs due to PSSD risk but Somatic OCD (hyperawareness of breathing, blinking, bodily sensations etc.) is putting me in a very dark place

This flare started 23 days ago and is still bothering me almost constantly. 30mg Buspar a day, 1.8g NAC a day for 22 days now. Very little improvement. Seeing an ERP therapist in a couple days but have no hope it will be of any help because I am constantly exposed and obviously its not working. This is making me feel like life has been completely ruined and destroyed. I know SSRIs are the so-called "first line" treatment, but I don't want to risk getting PSSD and having my life get even worse. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. I'm using weed and alcohol to cope but I know its bad. For the first week I had this condition I tried to "live my life" the best I could and went on 2 dates, went out with friends twice etc, but none of that helped either. Also started Ritalin ER 20mg which sometimes helps sometimes doesn't. It works for my ADHD but does not touch the OCD.

Stats: 22M

Seeking Advice what psychoactive drugs are least impactful on brain health?

i was a long time marijuana user and i quit a few months ago wanting to improve my cognition.

i just want to occasionally get high, but i don’t want to start smoking weed again and i don’t like to drink alcohol either.

any recommendations?

edit- to further clarify as some people are confused, i’m asking what drugs are the least neurotoxic, so less long term negative effects on neurotransmitter function, memory, cognition etc.

Seeking Advice How to have extremely high energy?

2 weeks ago, I started a job handing out flyers, and for some reason, I had super high energy, libido, and aggression. I was more motivated and even more aggressive at jiujitsu. I thought that the extra sun exposure and the vitamin D could’ve caused that and I might’ve been deficient. Ever since, I’ve been taking vitamin D supplements just in case.

However, the energy seems to have worn off. I feel normal again. I do all the things they tell you to do. Sleep well, exercise, don’t stress about things too much, but I’m not at that level of energy I had before. What can I do or take to get that level of energy again?

Seeking Advice Did I ruin my brain by microdosing dexamphetamine for years?

Hi guys, I've been using dexamphetamine for ADHD for the past 6 years. I'm pretty sensitive to stimulants and I found that the 2x 5mg /day dose was way too overstimulating, I would get migraines, heart palpitations and just feel wired. Now I take about 1.25 mg in the morning and 0.7mg in the evening. Which actually works for me and is a dose on which I can still laugh and eat. I'm also only 5'2 and 57 kg/ 125 lbs.

I've seen a lot of posts mainly from years ago that taking amphetamines like this causes permanent hypersensitization of dopamine receptors, for example in mice and monkeys. I am having more sleeping issues lately and I'm wondering if I ruined something? I'm afraid to take more of the med as it's already so effective at this low dose. And because I take med breaks in weekends, at a higher dose I just sleep all day, at a low dose I actually feel nice if I take a break from it.

Thanks! X

Seeking Advice NAC making me lose my mind

Not sure if this is a natural reacttion as NAC begins to detoxify my body and release many heavy metals into my bloodstream or something, but whenever I take even a small amount of NAC (600 mg), after an hour or so I begin to have terrible mood swings and oscilate from sobbing and being incredibly angry. I just feel a sort of general frightening need to break things around me. I know this sounds strange lol but is a reaction like this, albeit far less severe common from this supplement? I live a fairly stressful life, maybe that plays a role.
