I know, its a skill issue, but im trying to play aggainst the cpu at easy, and i cant win one single time xD.

Everytime, i make my hero, make some troops and go kill the green mobs to get some levels. But if i rush the enemy base, somehow they are always ahead and if i take my time to build the base, they come with lots of flying units.

I like to play humans, and started playing cuz the Forsaken kingdom hyped me (i dindt buy it yet).

Hello, I usually watch Happy’s Warcraft 3 content whenever I have some free time, since I can’t really watch him live because of my schedule. I noticed that his latest VOD is from 17 days ago (at the time of this post), and there haven’t been any new uploads since then.

I tried contacting him through X, but he doesn’t allow DMs. I also don’t want to subscribe just to send him a message about this, especially since it costs lots of money in my region and I'm kind of broke right now.

So, if anyone here has a way to let him know, I’d really appreciate it. I just want to catch up on his recent Warcraft 3 games when I have time.

Please no spoilers for the 25 year old game. Basically I cant attack the houses, playing on classic graphics, I tried restarting the mission three times (and closed the game of course) and every time I cant attack the buildings. In the picture I am using A and click to select target, but they just walk around or stand on top of the houses and dont destroy them... Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? How to fix it?

Edit: SOLVED. I use Grid layout, it wasnt A, it was R, stupid mistake that cost me over an hour.

I used to no life this game hard back in the day and then I stopped when SC2 came out. Recently came back and I see there have been many changes to the game and Orc specifically.

I see one big change is that now Orcs are doing a 1 grunt tech to T2 in many match ups instead of a 2 grunt tech. Back when I quit the 2 grunt tech was the meta. It was perhaps a slightly conservative build but it was very versatile and you could remote creep with it and pressure the opponent at the same time. With the 2 grunt tech you could send a scout peon whereas I see with the 1 grunt tech you don’t send a scout.

Back then you would then stay at T2 and go grunt/raider/walker in the vast majority of match ups.

Now I see that grunts are used much more rarely despite a buff to brute strength and healing salve (both buffs seem crazy to me!)

My question is what is the logic behind 1 grunt tech instead of 2 and why a scout peon is not used anymore? I find my opponents are often fast expanding (every match up except Orc mirror) and it would be nice to know ahead of time.

It seems like the offline mode for Reforged was removed after the latest BlizzCon update. I tried to access offline mode, but the option is no longer there. I know that 90% of games these days don't work offline, but Warcraft 3 was a special case; I usually play it offline during my breaks since I don't always have internet access where I take my laptop. Plus, 90% of the custom content only works in Reforged mode. If anyone knows a solution to this problem, I’d be truly grateful—I really don't want to go without playing Warcraft 3 during my breaks.

I'd like to replay the campaign but without the reforge skins, I was looking to play it with the HD upgrade but it seems te be gone now? Its only classic vs reforge?

Me and a couple friends are having a laugh by playing an old version of wc3, but I am clearly inferior in terms of skill cause all of em played an rts before, while enjoyable I wish to get better somehow

I am struggling to find any good guides because of how weird the patches are, I cannot exactly copy a guide because maybe there were changes that I didn't know that the vid has but I don't

I am trying to get better at playing orc and i feel like I do a pretty good job at tier 1. but at tier 2 I get overwhelmed by the shear amount of units that come online.

I normally just go beast and get raiders and start my assault.

What units should I be getting?

I like 5-10 minute games where I just rush my opponent as my brain zone out in long battles. Which race can go full in at 5-10 minute mark? Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I just came back to the game after about a 1 year break. I’m not very good by any means, but I consider myself moderately competent above total noob level. I’m pretty okay to execute strategies tho my in fight macro is bad.

I mostly play against my friend who has a similar level of experience to me. Before the break, i couldn’t beat him, and after the break I still cannot beat him.

Every game, he goes blade first. He creeps with grunts bm and then hits my base as my t2 is building. Usually 3-5 grunts. I have a very difficult time defending this push when I play DH bear dryad, as I usually have like 3 archers which get deleted by the blade. After I stabilize, I get into bears, but the damage from the early game is substantial, and when I get to bears dryads, he usually has taurens which stomp my bears into oblivion. Not to mention a high level blade which just annihilates my dryads. I am really trying to deal with it but its just unreal how bad I do against just that initial grunt push.

The other option is I go KotG hunts into alch, which goes okay but I have a problem with ending the game. I have less experience with this strat, i usually go 1 base t2 with 2 aow and try to hit his base, but i take so much damage and usually fail to end the game. Alch honestly feels useless here too, blade usually gets on him after 1 spray and he gets destroyed. And if i dont end with that push, I face the same tauren problem as the last one, but this time it feels like it is an even worse time cuz i cant even hope to dryad kite them. I used to fast expand on this strat, but if he does a grunt push into it i usually have to cancel.

So what should I do? Am i doing some fundamental timing error? It feel so stupid to ask but how the hell do I beat early grunts?

Asking because I have seen a lot of contradiction about these new graphic setting in general

Playing through Warcraft III Forsaken Kingdom, doing the Vengeance campaign atm. I"ve killed Frostwhisper and collected the floating supplies from the sea. Now I find myself utterly confused and no idea what to do.

- I'm supposed to kill 3 mushrooms, I found only 1 and two of them seem to be in areas that I cannot access (assuming they are the two yellow ! marks on the map).

- The game keeps telling me to "build more farms" but I don't have any peasants. I only have folks that I've come across on the streets, some riflemen and footmen, and Ilastar. No clue how to build a farm. I found a Gold Mine but also have no one to send to it.

Feels like I'm missing something, any ideas? YT videos didn't help at all.

Not sure what's the issue, but main menu is very laggy for some reason. Heard some who also have Amd Ryzen also experience some problems

When I open settings for the new campaign it says I can choose between classic/reforged/definitive edition. I really don't like definitive edition because the characters look like cheap plastic action figures. I was kinda expecting reforged graphics, but I'd also settle for classic graphics over this. Is there another setting or is this just what I'm stuck with forever?

I’m looking to get into WC3 ranked and would really appreciate some guidance on how to start properly.

I already have some basic knowledge of the game, and I recently finished the full campaign for the first time, which really got me interested in trying multiplayer. I also have around 1500 hours in Dota, so I’m not too worried about the mechanical side — I’m used to learning and grinding that part.

What I’m mainly wondering is:

* Do I need to install any mods or addons to play multiplayer/ranked properly?

* Are there any tools or addons that help with learning (build orders, hotkeys, etc.)?

* What’s the best way to set up keybinds efficiently?

* Any general beginner tips you wish you knew when you started?

New here. Since i love old graphics, it is important for me to open my wallet.

I'm not sure if it's just because the new update but when I try to do custom campaigns in the game I see some of them have invisible buildings and units. I'm not sure how to fix it.

I'm primarily thinking about Abominations here. I only really see Cannibalize used to heal up units after the fight is over, but looking at the numbers it looks like it should be useful even during the fight itself? Abomination's stats seem to be overall worse than other melee units on their level, they get stuck a lot, and they're slow so their melee uptime isn't great. But they provide disease cloud for as long as they're in the fight, even when they aren't actively attacking anything, and Cannibalize provides them with more healing per second than their auto-attack does damage per second even if the Abom had 100% uptime, which they never do. And it doesn't cost mana, just corpses.

So in situations where Abominations are used as a frontline while you're trying to wear an opponent down, like say using Meat Wagons vs Dryads, wouldn't it be beneficial to just Cannibalize whenever you can to make your frontline last as long as possible?
