Does GIMP have a feature to automate actions like Photoshop?

I used to use Photoshop a lot to create actions that record image edits so I could apply them to multiple images at once. Does GIMP have a similar feature?

So as usual it's not as simple as in Photoshop.

Batch processing images is possible. Depending on which version you are using, you can either use plugins like Batcher (https://github.com/kamilburda/batcher) or BIMP (https://github.com/alessandrofrancesconi/gimp-plugin-bimp). If that's insufficient under Filters > Development you can either use Script-Fu or Pythin-Fu to script you're own batch processes.

I'm not sure if there is the option to record your actions as a base for the batch process like in Photoshop.

FYI: stay as far away from google AI as you can. If you're writing Gimp plugins. Or you might end up in the psyche ward XD

1 - File ―> Batch image manipulation

2 - click + to selection action

3 - add Folder or images

4 - create Output folder (a new folder for so you don't overwrite original files) for your results

5 - click Apply
