Just for practice, what videos describe how to change the colour of a certain piece without altering the rest. Like changing the eye colour to blue or something.

Select the eye. Use the hue sat value adjuster in the color menu.

There are a lot of types of videos for that purpose, i assume you mean Photo retouching but it would be better if you elaborate. You can go to the basic photo retouching part of this video, the timestamps are in description.

Also if your works are entirely about colors then you should search about video tutorials related to photography

One option you can try is to change a tool's Blend Mode. For example:

  1. Switch to the Paintbrush tool
  2. Near the top of its options is a dropdown that typically says "Normal"
  3. Open the dropdown and near the bottom of a long list you should find a mode called "HSV Hue". Select it.
  4. Now pick your desired target color and paint over the area you want to change. Watch closely what it actually does.
  5. You can also try the "LCh Hue" mode, too.
  6. When done, make sure to set the tool's mode back to "Normal" (at the top of the list) before you forget about it, because this is not automatic.
