I usually only drink one a year, but would love for it to be local, and not just Shipyard or PumpKing. Anybody know of any local breweries doing a brew for spooky season?

Craftoberfest at the Rose Bowl was my favorite beer-related event each year. It hasn't happened in 2 years now. Does anyone know what happened? Is it gone for good?

And are there any other good craft beer events going on soon?

New Releases

• Altar Society Brewing Co. — Shoreline Society (post): A blonde ale described as having subtle hop notes and a clean finish. Aimed at being a "sipper" for the lingering Long Beach heat.

This is a little off topic. I have a lot of white sapotes. Are there any brewers in the area who would be interested in doing something with them?

Having a real Michelada at La Joya Sports bar, no pre made stuff

Earlier this year they closed “temporarily” for construction https://www.instagram.com/twocoastbrewing/reel/DWWuu-ljym4

Now it looks like a hard seltzer maker is opening up in their place https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdCdmBSh-IC

Two Coast has been silent on Instagram. I tried direct messaging their account but they never responded. This was one of my favorite breweries in LA county so I’m pretty bummed.

Looking for great local craft? Let us help you www.brwtxt.com

My wife and I used to be really big into craft beer, but lately, she's been sticking more to hard seltzers. The problem: she HATES a lot of the mass produced ones (Truly, High Noon, etc). We'd found Untitled Art's Florida Seltzer line and she was a big fan of that, but apparently that brewery ceased operations recently. (Or at least have stopped shipping to the LA area.)

She's loved craft seltzers from LA-area breweries like Radiant, Everywhere, and Harland, but those aren't always easy to find in stores for home consumption.

I regularly hit up Handy Market in Burbank, but lately it's been hit and miss on the seltzer front.

Does anyone have an recommendations on where to reliably find good craft seltzers? Bonus points if it's in the eastern part of the Valley, near Studio City/Burbank/Glendale.

It’s a hot one out there, LA. If you aren't forklift certified to move kegs into your living room, your best bet is hitting the taprooms to hide in the AC. Between fresh hop season kicking off and a major anniversary in Montebello, here is what’s happening in LA beer.

New Releases

• Highland Park Brewery — The team just dropped Pappy (6.5%), a West Coast IPA featuring Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin with notes of kiwi and passion fruit (post). Also dropping this week: Dunkel (a collab with Schilling Beer Co.), Competition, Timbo Pils, and DDH Pillow (post).
• Highland Park Brewery — The first fresh hop beer of the season is in the works. The crew flew in Fresh Hop Strata from Oregon's Westwood Farms and put them straight into the brew the same day (post).
• Ambitious Ales — Pitch Invader (5.5%) is back. This West Coast Pilsner uses Mosaic Hyperboost, Mosaic, and Mosaic Cryo for big blueberry pie notes and a hint of dankness (post).
• Shadow Grove Brewing — A new Belgian Saison collab with Goleta Farmhouse. It’s dry-hopped and steeped with two pounds of Osmanthus tea flowers (post).
• Firestone Walker — Diesel Thunder has arrived, a small-batch "innovation" brew described as all gas, no brakes (post).
• Hand-Brewed Beer — Isotope IPA has made its return to the taplist (post).
• Full Circle Brewing — Peachy Vibes Wheat Ale is now hitting distribution for the late summer heat (post).

Heading to Santa Cruz from Phoenix. Taking the 10 and going up the 5, then to the 15. Looking for some brewery recs that have some great hazy IPAs. Bonus if they have cans for sale.

I am getting old, and just can’t put it away like I used to. My first thought, I suppose because it’s summer, would be Berliner Weiss, but I’m open to anything that has a decent amount of flavor without too much alcohol. Thx!

Looking for restaurants (not bars or bottle shops) in Los Alamitos or Long Beach that currently have Pliny the Elder on tap or in bottles.
The Russian River Beer Finder hasn’t been accurate for me, so I’m hoping for recent firsthand recommendations. Thanks!

I saw that Lincoln is leaving Burbank for Canoga Park, but won't say where yet. They mention a larger taproom, event space, and an outdoor beer garden in the new space. I'm wracking my brain where all this could be in CP.

Anyone have the scoop on where they're going?

Spain and Argentina put on a thrilling World Cup Final for the ages and the whole FIFA experience left it's mark on Los Angeles and North America. Alas it's over....but it's still summer. Plenty of time to get to that taproom you wanted to visit and grab that 4 pack for the beach or the lake or the music event coming up.

New Releases

• Brewjeria Company — Espíritu (post): A Blood Orange Wheat Ale brewed in collaboration with Mi Vida.
• Crowns & Hops — Keep It Trill (post): A fresh, clean, and crisp lager designed for the summer heat. Also look out for their limited edition FIFA-inspired Hazy IPA (post) featuring a gold crown on the label.
• Burning Bridge Brewing — Spiked Lemonade (post): A new "treat to beat the heat" currently available at the West Covina taproom, with a San Dimas release coming soon.

Notable Posts
