Do red shells negate blue shells?

I heard online somewhere that if you’re hit by a red shell before a blue shell hits you, then the stun of the blue shell is completely negated, but that doesn’t seem to be the case from what just happened to me. Can somebody explain?

It happens in mk8 ( and maybe world Idk tho I don’t play it) and that’s why you might be mixed up a bit

Ok so small rule of thumb: Invincibility frames are a gift from god so don't rely on them in the slightest you will get comboed

No, you still get flipped up in the air in mkwii iirc

That's for MK8, I think. Never happened to me in MKwii. Works with other shells and banana peels too I think. Also, you can block red shells with other items or bonking into a wall.
