I want to play retro rewind

Hey i need i lil help on what i exactly need to be able to download retro rewind on my wii u.
My gamepad dosent work because its broken is there anyway to get around that?
if someone could list the exact things that are needed and if there is anyway around using mu gamepad please let me know

you said your gamepad doesnt work and i heard wii Us are backwards compatible and can use wii remotes, which could help if your gamepad is broken, and i listed the link to a tutorial for installing retro rewind (for wii and wiiU) by jacher.

i have an ethernet cable and an extender in my room but im not connected to the internet on my wii u do you think it will still work?

you mean for playing online? im not a wii u expert since i dont have a wii u but i guess retro rewind can still work without connecting your wii u to the internet, though (which i assume you mean connecting your wii u to a dns for online play), because retro rewind uses retro wfc for online you dont need to do special stuff like with wiimmfi but if your wii u has no wifi at all then yeah i guess connect it then but i dont have a wii u so i dont know how that works

oh fair enough do you play on dolphin or an emulator then? and another thing i dont have my wii u homebrewed so what should i do about that

i dont play mkwii on dolphin because the disc is so scratched and cleanrip refuses to rip it, so no. i found the wiihacks wii u guide 4 u https://wiiu.hacks.guide/, btw i will go away for many many hours since its midnight where i am and i have some english homework i gotta finish lol
