I still have Noburo in live usb. I first goal to get internet running.
Heres the problem. I have no access to cable internet. (My lifestyle prevents it, even thou I have dekstop PC)

I have cheap wifi stick which work plug and play in window but doesnt work in Nobara (Realtek 8812BU Wireless Lan 802.11ac USB NIC)

Then what I do is I tether my phone internet via usb cable, it does connect HOWEVER its really slow like something is bottleneck it.

Do I need to install it for it actually to work? I used the live usb method because it is the way to test it (I just follow tutorial)

I have no idea where to go from here. Should I install the wifi driver (then again I have no idea how linux driver works or they even need one?)

How do you uninstall OBS on Nobara?

the uninstall get blocked because of some codec that it is unable to uninstall and it say's to uninstall using the codec thingimajik, the one from the welcome to Nobara, but the only option there is to install it...

I installed windows 11 first on SSD #1 and everything was fine. It loaded. I installed Nobara on SSD #2 and it loaded fine. But when I restart, I do not have the option to load into Windows anymore. I use F2 to check Bios boot order and the Windows installation does not appear as an option.

Any ideas for what I can try? I suspect the problem might be that SSD #1 is not mounting at all until I log into Linux, click on it, and enter my password. I don't know how I can solve that problem or if that is even possible.

Well, after 3 continuous problem free years, it's my time to shine. After the latest updates (containing some mesa, systemd and update manager), when logging to the system, plasmashell doesn't load and I get many errors and I can't see what the errors are (can't gather information).

Tried to load with older kernels but same results.

For some reason my computer isn't the happiest waking from hibernate. Does anyone know how I can disable hibernate and remove the swap partition?

Would it be with the following command?

$ sudo systemctl mask hibernate.target

Can I disable swap with the KDE Parition manager or is there more I need to do?

Hello, I wanna start off to say no disrespect to nobara or Linux and say they are great. Recently switched to nobara and had issues settling in, just uncomfortable. Though I couldnt switch back to windows 11. Used the same usb, formatted first via ventoy then via woeusb, both times the usb wasnt available in the start up menu or via bios. Options were fedora and 2 partitions which ai says are from old partitions from when switching to nobara. In start up which shows 2 nobaras and 1 nobara kernel but no windows 11 usb boot up. Any help is appreciated, any questions needed well, il happy to answer. Sorry if this isn't the right forum for this.

I think there is a bug with the 9070XT and the latest kernels. I get these corrupted regions rendered on my background after the machine waked up after suspend.

I dual boot Omarchy on the same hardware and it seems specific to my Nobara / Neon environment.

Im on windows 11 (laugh if you must) but I want to switch. After consideration I want to go with nobara but I believe nobara does automatic hardware checks so my drivers would be the right date but I'm really here for exact instructions to install

Get a grip bassically you always have/had to restart your PC after a biggish update. Linux has always required you to restart and saying it hasn't is a lie and here's the video that deep dives into it.

A new document about a new offline update system. tl;dr: Nobara's updater now defers updates of important system components until the next reboot. Stuff like drivers, the desktop environmenet, python, etc. This should make system updates more stable at the cost of requiring a reboot to enable them.

Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded the Steam-HTPC ISO, followed the steps using Ventoy, but when I run the installer in Live Boot, there is no option to add username and password. I installed it anyway and now it boots fine with the steam machine logo, then ends in a black screen. I used the Ctrl Alt F2 combo, where it asks for username and password, but nothing works. Tried leaving blank, root, liveuser, nothing works.

My assumption is that the link is pointing to fedora42 while I am already at 44. Not sure what to do here

I don't think I'm the only one here, but since yesterday, nobara-sync --all hasn't been behaving normally. There’s no longer an update log under .local/share/nobara-updater/; up until now, it would always check the repositories and then update the system and the flatpaks. I don’t see that happening anymore. Is this normal? Updates are now also installed after a restart, just like in Windows. I also followed the instructions at https://wiki.nobaraproject.org/general-usage/troubleshooting/update-system. Is there an official statement? I also tried to get an answer on Discord, but no one answers my questions. I'd really appreciate any answers or suggestions from you all. I've been using Nobara for 2 years and haven't had any major problems.

When I turned on my laptop today, a problem appeared with the Nobara updater. I ran the `nobara-sync cli` command in the terminal to see if it would update normally, and the message shown in the photo appeared. I updated after running the command, and this information appeared.Should I do something, or should I wait?

I had very inconsistent frametimes/ stuttering in my games on bazzite, I tried troubleshooting what was the problem I tried by changing many things but nothing worked so I finally gave up and installed nobara linux - removed bazzite and surprisingly my stuttering problem has now been solved. Hopefully I don't encounter any issues with this distro in the future.

After waking up my pc from sleep today, i found it to show weird grey lines flashing. Yesterday it didnt have this, so i rebooted. Still this is happening. Fully random too. I'm trying to change my nobara original font but i've ran in some issues, I have huge gaps between texts and it only goes away when i edit the name. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
