Seeking Advice Thinking of going back to modafinil

Looking for current recs on modafinil/armodafinil brands + where people in the US are ordering from these days!!

I’ve had ADHD/focus issues forever and used modafinil and Concerta on and off in the past for deep-work days. I’ve been on bupropion XL 300 mg for about a year. At first it really helped and I felt like I had my drive back, but that effect gradually faded…

So, after a ridiculous amount of appointments trying to get a stimulant prescription, I finally managed to get Vyvanse. Started at 10mg, went up to 20, but it’s basically still doing nothing for me and my psychiatrist also wants weekly appointments. Honestly I’m just over the whole process.

So I’m thinking of going back to modafinil… I see a lot of generic variants (moda, armoda etc). What’s everyone liking these days and where are you guys ordering from?

Also, anyone taking wellbutrin + moda - how’s your experience so far?

Moda is like a DRI isn't it? Pretty similar to bupropion (NDRI). Not sure I'd take both together.

I was on bupropion for a while, but quit because of the cognitive side effects. Now I take moda at a low dose. My eventual goal is to get vyvanse, but adhd assessment takes ages here in the UK. I'd have a chat with your doc about titrating up. From what I gather, 20mg is a pretty low dose

I don’t really feel like bupropion makes any difference for me at this point but also haven’t tried quitting either…

Yeah 20mg vyvanse is super low but my doc wants to see me every week even to maintain 20mg and I’m so tired of it… I’ve tried a lot of docs but stimulant refills are tricky in the US… In the UK, it’s harder to get the initial diagnosis but easier refills imho

Question - did you ever feel anything on the 10mg? I've been using 10mg 3 days/wk for the past couple weeks. First week was very noticeable, since then less so.

Zero effects on 10mg, even 20 is super light:/ I think I just have a higher threshold from past stimulant history though and potentially wellbutrin too maybe?

did you notice it more on the focus side or the motivation side that first week?

Pairing it with DL-PhenyIalanine can be game changer, it can bring back the magic of AMPH & Provigil.

I replaced taking Adderall with Bupropion XL 300MG tablets and Elevate and I’m more focused and I get more work done at work without the harsh adderall crash.

Bupropion xl 300mg lost the charm for me after 7 months and increasing the dose didn’t work well, but will look into Elevate!

I got a script from mod.com recently. It's kinda pricey but its a very simple process, you get it in like 2 oz liquid shots compounded with a little caffeine, and it's all above board. There's always the sketchy Indian website route but you don't really know what you're getting there.
