/r/ReverseEngineering's Weekly Questions Thread
To reduce the amount of noise from questions, we have disabled self-posts in favor of a unified questions thread every week. Feel free to ask any question about reverse engineering here. If your question is about how to use a specific tool, or is specific to some particular target, you will have better luck on the Reverse Engineering StackExchange. See also /r/AskReverseEngineering.

Hey, how can I expose my RE project without exposing my personal GitHub? Or theres no problem of exposing GitHub?

Did you use your own personal email for creating your commits? If you're paranoid about sharing personal info, that's probably the main issue I'd worry about because that email will be public. Create a burner email address on Protonmail and use that for your GitHub account.
Though, if you've already created commits with your previous email attached then stripping it off will be a big hassle. Assuming your repo is private and it's still early enough along to do so: archive your current one for reference purposes, copy paste the files in their current state into a new repo with your new email.

How should I go about learning more about the internal structure of windows? I can logically follow what the instructions are doing but without much knowledge about the internal structure of the OS I feel I am lost more often than not. Are there specific resources or a more approachable book on the topic or should I simply just read some Intel architecture manual?

Finally a dedicated thread for the dumb questions I'm too scared to make a whole post about.
Question for anyone who's been elbow deep in firmware lately, do you usually bother pulling the bootloader apart or just jump straight to the main app code? i've been skipping it most of the time but wondering if i'm missing important context that way
