Do Uncharted fans actually want a new game?
A friend of mine sent me a post saying that apparently a new Uncharted game might be in development.
I told him that I personally don’t really want another one, and I assumed quite a few fans who grew up with the series probably feel the same way. For me, Uncharted 4 gave Nathan Drake a great ending, and I’d honestly rather let the series rest.
And since I’m personally not the biggest fan of some of Neil Druckmann’s story choices, I’d rather not even have the possibility of Uncharted being brought back in a way that could potentially hurt what I loved about the series.
My friend disagrees and is convinced that more Uncharted fans want a new game than don’t.
So, to settle our argument:
Would you actually want a new Uncharted game, or would you rather let the series rest?
EDIT:
Since a lot of people are asking why I wouldn’t want another one, or saying it should be obvious that most fans would, I should clarify: I was mainly talking about another Uncharted game with Nate as the protagonist.
Of course I’d be down for a spin-off with Chloe, Sam, or—best case scenario—Sully. Even then, Uncharted is pretty much a perfect franchise to me. Every game is at least an 8.5/10 in my book, I grew up with the series, and I honestly don’t know if I’d want to risk breaking that streak, especially since I’m personally not a huge fan of the direction modern Naughty Dog has taken.
My concern is that if they brought the series back as some kind of fan-service/cash-grab sequel, Nate would probably be the obvious choice, and that’s exactly what I wouldn’t want. His story had a great ending. Just let the man rest

Uncharted 4 Uncharted 4 was well ahead of its time
If I didn’t know anything about this game and you told me this was originally a PS4 game released in 2016, I wouldn’t believe you. This game still looks so beautiful, and the characters models are insane
My favorite Uncharted game and one of my favorite games of all time period ❤️

Lost Legacy How gorgeous chloe looks here
Actually the ps5 cover makes the adventure look epic
As it is
BTW about chloe
How was the series not only get the most likeable protagonist to almost ever come on vg and newer culture generally but to also MOG lara croft-surpass her
Other companies would build a cheap copy of her
Chloe has personality
And face
Not I ain't gooning as i point out her attributes

Uncharted 4 In light of the news that Uncharted 5 is in development, I started listening to U4's soundtracks, and man, I got goosebumps here.
The buildup and crescendo. Iconic music. Naughty Dog has incredible taste in music and they know who to collaborate with for each project. Gustavo, Mac Quayle, Henry Jackman, and now, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Uncharted 4 Should I stop my progress in uncharted 4: a thief's end to play the earlier games to understand the story better?

Nathan as a mentor
How would you feel if the game game had you play as Nathan's daughter and Nathan took the place of sully as the older wiser mentor type role

Naughty Dog When you think about it, none of the events of any of the games would've happened if it wasn't for Evelyn 🤔
Nate and Sam broke into her house to get their mums book and she told them stories about their mum, then she died and the police thought they killed her (blah blah blah, we know all this)
Anyway, she told them that their mum never got to find Francis Drakes treasure and that he supposedly had 2 heirs. Which is what inspired Sam and Nate to change their names from Morgan to Drake and what made them claim themselves as Francis's heirs, which led to Nate going to Columbia for Francis's ring, which led him to meet Sully, which led to them getting Elana to fund their trip to find Francis' coffin and the rest is history! (I skipped over Sam being in prison because that didn't feel as relevant)

It was only a Thief’s end🙏🥹🥹🥹
If the sources are true… WE BACK BABY‼️‼️ I would reeeaaally like to see Nate run it back, if Indy can do it why not Nate? If he’s the main protagonist naughty dog gets the instant pre-order🙏

Uncharted 2 Just beat uncharted 2 on crushing
Honestly remember it being way more challenging back when I did it on ps3 almost 15 years ago. Game will definitely give you a run for your money. not as unforgiving as uncharted 1 on crushing (what an absolutely miserable experience lol)
Seriously can’t believe in a couple years this game will be 20 years old. Graphics are absolutely stunning even by today’s standards. Naughty Dog really knows how to make beautiful, optimized, attention to detail games. I’d put them up there with Rockstar for the uncharted series alone.

I just discovered doughnut drake
This is my second uncharted 1 replay. I was expecting him to be dressed as a literal doughnut or in a doughnut shop costume but this exceeded expectations for sure!!! Too funny.

Series To the people saying let the IP rest
Guys it has been over a decade until we’ve had a mainline uncharted game. I for one think it has rested enough and I’m yet to find a game to scratch that same itch if you know what I mean.
Now for the people saying Nathan should get his retirement and happy ending I totally get it. I still believe we should have a passing of the torch moment in the next game but Nathan really shouldn’t be the main character again. But god I just really want to play another Uncharted game and considering if they only started now it will not be out until at least 5 years later so yeah, hope the report is true lol

Uncharted 5 prequel 👀🤔
With rumors of uncharted 5 being in development, I think I’d be interesting if it were a prequel that would focus on sully and sort of resemble Indiana jones. maybe he’d be fighting nazis or something. just a thought. what do yall think

Uncharted 4 Finished this. What an absolute cinema, and the BGM is great.
To think that this game was released 10 years ago!
