Why does the network autoconfiguration fail?
So, for information, I installed debian on a laptop without any issues.
Then I decided I wanted to install it on an old pc, which worked fine at first until I got to chose the packet manager mirror, where it failed to recognize the default one and multiple others I tried.
I skipped the step and finished the install because I thought it was an issue with the iso image and I was just going to reinstall debian.
So, I start the install for the second time and it already fails at the network autoconfiguration. I use an ethernet cable, but it may be that my wifi isn’t very stable and if I might just try later if that’s the case.
Does anyone have other ideas why it failed?
Update:
so it really was just a network issue and it works fine now.

A lot of what you said is self-contradictory... Did you finish the install, or not? Is the machine connected over Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
If I had to guess, I would say the machine cannot connect to the network. This can be for any number of reasons that are impossible to troubleshoot without a lot more information.

Well no, the pc can connect to the internet.
As I said, the first time I tried to install debian, it connected without problem.
Before the install, I tested if the internet worked with windows still on it and it did.
I‘m sorry I phrased it wrong, english isn’t my first language, i use an ethernet cable. I finished the install but skipped the step where it asked me to chose a mirror.

My Intel Hardwire Ethernet does not connect with away even when told to do something. Installing Debian or even just logging into my system that's already been installed with anything, it sits there till something asks for it to turn itself on at all then whatever asked for it will usually time out what I have to do on a D install is let it try it first it'll time out second time around choosing retry it'll go through

Well, when it fails, you can try again, just repeat that step. Or shell out and do some actual troubleshooting. No idea why it's not working for you, but you can probably figure it out.
