Fortune's Weave General I'm Willow Engel, English voice of Creek in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. AMA!
Hiya, everyone! I'm Willow Engel, and if you don't know me, I'm a transfemme voice actress who had the honor of playing Creek in the latest Fire Emblem! You might know me as other green boys like Euygene from The Adventures of Elliot and Ez from Fantasian: Neo Dimension.
I will be answering questions for the few hours about my character, this incredible game, and anything else you’d like to know about me or my voice acting journey!
Ask away!

Fortune's Weave Gameplay Is there any reason to put Dietrich (or anyone, for that matter) into myrmidon over rogue? Rogue seemingly has better stats, mastery skill and movement than myrmidon.

Story Now that the game has been out for a while do you have a solid top five?
(This is character wise, not gameplay wise).
These are my current top five in order, though Alexandra, Leda and Fabio are very much neck and neck behind Orchel who is most likely going to remain my favorite. Honorable mentions go to Cai, Theodora, Nuzzo, Bonaventure and Olympia.

Fortune's Weave Spoiler The more I think about it, the more I believe the other 4 lords wouldn't have made sense to be playable as release
This is mostly my own feelings, of course, and some speculation, but after being done with 3 and a half route, I genuinely think that cutting the 4 sub-lords was more deliberate than just picking at random 4 routes to cut because of budget. To say it more directly, it's my opinion that while the 4 Lords we got can all be played in any order (even tho Cai is kinda the "expected" first), none of the sub-lords would work as an early route, and more importantly, playing as them first would negatively impact the experience of playing the 4 we got AFTER.
Like, take Talimun. Imagine playing his route before Leda's. You get all the important plot beats regarding the Order of Mithras AND then you get to have the big conclusion against Maria. Playing as Leda after that would kinda deflate it, no ? Since you'd just feel like plaing the sidekick to Talimun's plan. Meanwhile, since he's not playable, you just feel he's a background ally, and you can focus on Leda's (great) personal story and struggle.
Similarly, Bertrand before Leda would rob you of a lot of emotions.
On the other side, Anatolia and Orchel both would drop so much lore, you'd be left with basically nothing for Theo/Cai and even Dietrich. Like Anatolia alone would drop BOTH all Fabio's lore and all Troy's lore you get. Orchel is even worse, as soon as she regain her memories, she'd be the loremaster of the entire game.
Thus, I think it's no coincidence that the 4 sub-lords just happens to be lords whose routes work better as subsequent playthroughs that ADD things to the 4 we already have, rather than a first set that would just rob the other 4 of most of their thunders.
I'm not saying we'll get them as DLC, but that if we do, I get why. They all can deepen what we've seen and learned, while our Lords are more "basic", which is exactly what you want for the first batch

Fortune's Weave Story I love that you get peeks into other character's stories without any context. (No Spoilers)
I am playing one story path at a time and am still on my first path because I have stupid responsibilities that stop me from playing as much as I want.
Anyway, I don't know much about what the other Lord's stories are, but through things like spectating matches, talking to them, and mentions by NPCs, I get these little tid bits that really intrigue me. For example, without spoiling anything, there is a match you can watch between Cai's team and Leda's team during the actual games, and the dialogue between them has me on the edge of my seat. I want to know what's been happening with them so bad I almost want to switch story paths just to see. It makes the stories seem more connected and the world fuller.
In other games I have played with simultaneously branching stories, including Fire Emblem (note I haven't played them all), I know technically the other characters are on their own adventure, but it doesn't really feel like it. They are either just gone or pop in every so often just to be an obstacle, at least thats what it felt like.

Art Siren of the Six String [OC]
I've been playing Leda's path (determined to see hers through first). Slowly progressing and having so much fun! 🩷 She is the edgiest girl focused on her goals, so I imagined her laying on the charm as she spotted a target 🗡

Fortune's Weave Gameplay The Nameless PSA Spoiler
imageSo I just discovered that in part 3 you can talk to Credna to restore the nameless to Shinning spear and it can then be upgraded to plus 5. I don't know when you can trigger this in part 3 because this is the only time I went to talk to Credna, but nothing indicated this was possible.
Enjoy your better weapon, I'm gonna go interrogate the other gods now in hopes I get free stuff (the initial change from the nameless to the shinning spear didn't cost anything.

General So I believe I did wrong that part
I started the game with Dietrich because I was bloodthursty for some deep combat gameplay since he has a sword and you know, could teleport..! Like a dreamy assasin combat style. But, without spoiling ANYTHING, I believe that the game starts better if you choose Cai as his story intro prepares you better for the game modes and even the arts. I am still exploring Cai path so don't say anything!
