Hacking Discussion Banned switch 2 and store
So I got a banned switch 2 that was banned more than a year ago and which I never switched on again.
presently am without another handheld as sold the rog ally x 3 months ago and mainly use my pc.
Dragonwilds is out. Can I still buy it on the banned console and play it with just not be able to play online ?

It looks like it's digital only, so no. You cannot access the nintendo shop to buy or download games, DLCs, or game updates.

that sucks about this key cards thing.. i just bought a used ns2 and im afraid of getting banned too.. planed to purchase those cheap digital games online .. i dont know..
do you know how you got banned?

He had to be using a MiG switch. Not much else will get you banned on the 2

No I never owned a mig switch. I bought around 6 original games from store and than did a mistake and bought an account game from cjskeys. They claimed it was legit at that time but I got immediate ban. Tried explanning to Nintendo even thru EU providing proof and screenshots but nothing worked.

aight, so you think its "safe" to purchase those cheap digital games which basically are shared accounts? If the only bad thing that could happen is getting scammed or not able to load the game a few days later, thats fine.. but i dont want that shared account to mark my switch when theres a banning wave.

I would not personally do that. Sounds like a scam to me. I don't know the mechanics of how those work. For my S2, I only use official games until there's a real jailbreak like the S1.

Avoid buying non original games especially accounts. On their website they claimed it was safe and all I discounted was around €10 from buying directly from store which eventually got my switch 2 banned only a week after I bought it

A banned switch 2 can only play game cards. Any game that is digital only or key card is out of the question unless it was pre-downloaded before the ban.

well if he has a friend with a switch 2, he could get them to download the game data and then transfer it to him, assuming there is a game key card

That’s not gonna work because the match versions with local users feature you’re talking about requires the home menu icon for the game you wanna match.
When inserting a key card into a console for the first time, the home menu icon does not actually appear until you connect to Nintendos servers and begin the download, so banned consoles cannot get the required home menu icon to use the match versions feature.

i wonder if game key card is some backup strategy for nintendo where physical games get completely compromised.

Heres a better example video. A guy with a banned switch 2 trying a key card, he just gets an online service is restricted error and no home menu icon.

You should be able to play physical games that have the whole game on the cart (no Key-card games).
No hack and way things are looking it's going to be a long wait for it...
