Got talked into this one by the employee at the Firestone brewery merch store because I bought the pirate branded muscle shirt.
Big fan of wild ales and I’ve never had one with the vanilla/bourbon profile so I was excited to try it. It’s good, and has some tannic notes from the barrels, but the strawberry overshadows the hint of vanilla

This collab is really pleasing mouthfeel & subtle cantaloupe aroma & delicious, definitely not a GITM redux. 👍🏻
Brewed w/ Citra, Dolcita, and Nectaron hops.
8% ABV

I wouldn’t put it anywhere near my favorite but they had a nice operation going.

Celestial doing great things and consistency is key. Lucky to finally get it here in Houston

I work for the Alameda Post, and host a radio show dedicated to all things Alameda. The SF press coverage of Admiral shutting down was a bit thin, so I wrote this article for The Post. The beer and distilling community has lost an incredible asset.

The Archer Réserve 8%
A Spontaneous Wild Ale
with Pinot Noir Grapes
Aged in Oak Barrels for Fours Years
Bottled 2/26
We always love the various iterations of this beer.
It gets particularly interesting with time, and we've provided a lot of it here.
After over two years in barrel, our beer was transferred onto freshly harvested and laboriously foot-crushed Pinot Noir grapes from what we consider the best Pinot Noir vineyard in the state. After a long maceration on the whole clusters, it spent an additional two years in barrel prior to packaging.
The rich red soils of Dundee Hills define the aroma, with an evolved earthy funk playing into it that will surely continue to grow and evolve with even more time.
A symphony of tart cherries, ripe strawberry and perhaps some cranberry progresses in the glass. Delicate tannin and soft acid keep the mouthfeel interesting.
Darn fine.

The Nectarine 6.5%
A Spontaneous Wild Ale
with Nectarines
Aged in Oak Barrels for Two Years
Bottled 11/25
A specially selected combination of low acid, big sugar and huge character Nectarines. Combined in secondary oak tanks with two year aged barrels that emphasized a fruit forward and balanced expression.
BIG funky and richly sweet stone fruit aroma.
Big juicy and funky and nectarine-y taste, with subtly tangy (zesty?) skin notes.
Soft mouthfeel kept bright by balanced acid and crisp bubbles.
It's a nectarine beer that we made, and it will make many people very happy.

More of a liquor guy, but ive been trying to find some decent tasting higher ABV beers (i cant stand drinking A TON of liquid) and I saw this one at my local RT while grabbing gas. I am not a huge fan of bitter tastes (despite being a recovering heroine addict 🤣) but this isn't too bad!!
Anyone else enjoy this brand?
If you have any more high ABV beer brands you would recommend, shoot!
I dont like to drink a lot, but I like to nab a quick buzz here n there!
Finishing em' off now! Good find. IMO. aftertaste.
Has a beautiful smell and sitting at 9.9%; a bit fruity for a moment on the tongue, quickly fades to a longer lasting bitter aftertaste.
Goes well with pizza! 🤣🍕 But what beer doesnt?!

2014 Raison de Extra
Please see previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CraftBeer/s/vCsNjtsQX7
The Raison series was always a weird tasting beer to me, like it has some on-purpose off-notes. Haven’t had one in a dog’s age. This one tastes just like I remember.
Brown ale but BOLD. Still has much big flavor. Sweet, molasses, brown sugar. Nice psssht again opening this one.
Edit: 53 deg F, a little cold but warming up. Had to rapid chill, it’s also a celebratory beer because we accepted a contract to sell our house today!
Edit 2: lots of sediment!

Hi all - I'm a journalist working on a story about the opening of Proclamation Brewing (formerly Proclamation Ale in Warwick, Rhode Island.) If you're from the state, you likely know about the current mess going on with the brewery versus the beer community, which is a very rare occurrence. If you're an industry professional, and you are open to talking on the record about this situation, send me a message. 🍻 Happy to take anonymous statements, but I will need your name and brewery association to verify your identity.

I just bought this at Trader Joe's to try and it my be my favorite beer? I always thought Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale was unique but this beer could be doing the fresh hoppy ale with a bit ot maltiness even better.
Is this flavor profile not as unique as I thought?
Does anyone else share this taste preference? Any other beers you'd recommend looking out for?
