Gabapentin why does gabapentin taste so bad? NSFW

maybe it depends on the factory making the pills but mine have some kind of coating or chemical or something on the outside of it that makes it taste like shit but its like kinda bitter, almost like expired food (the pills themselves aren't expired, i know that for a fact). anyone else notice this? it's not really that bad but it doesnt really make sense as to why theyd make it taste bad. i understand doing that for things you SHOULDN'T put in your mouth but the entire purpose of those is to go in your mouth and into your bloodstream

Because of the way it’s chemical structure interacts with your taste buds

Didn’t realize it came in tablet form… but an unrelatedly-related thought; you don’t no a terrible taste until you’ve bitten into gel cough pill…
