I have a friend coming over tonight for my birthday and I’m literally so anti social idk how I have my friend group and this particular friend too. Then it clicked! Gabapentin! I take a Gabapentin before social interactions because my anxiety would be AWFUL without. Gabapentin makes me social and brings out a “lighter” version of myself. Anyone relate?? Lolol

What’s your take? It’s 100% better in my opinion

maybe it depends on the factory making the pills but mine have some kind of coating or chemical or something on the outside of it that makes it taste like shit but its like kinda bitter, almost like expired food (the pills themselves aren't expired, i know that for a fact). anyone else notice this? it's not really that bad but it doesnt really make sense as to why theyd make it taste bad. i understand doing that for things you SHOULDN'T put in your mouth but the entire purpose of those is to go in your mouth and into your bloodstream

So I love gabapentin but I hate how I have to take up to 3 grams to get a good high and it needs to be eaten with high fat foods and needs to be staggered but can I take gabapentin sublingually if anyone has any experience please let me know

How long does it take to become physically addicted?
if you take it every day, every 2 days or every 3 days? Will you notice weaker effects before the addiction starts?

I'm kind of new to this so I'm wondering if it's in my head, but I don't feel like I get anything out of staggering gabapentin every 30 minutes. I've tried staggering and taking it all at once and it seems like I get more effects from all at once but it does wear off faster. Is the main benefit of staggering longer legs? Anyone else prefer not to stagger or am I just doing it wrong?

Its only about 650mg pregab which is half of my rec dose for pregab so I had 600mg of pregab, I'll be fine right. Havent done gabapentin before but i have a tolerwnce for pregab.

I took 300mg capsules every 30 min (a total of 10 capsules) and drank them down with lemonade as a lot of people recommend. The only things I noticed was that my eyes wouldn't focus, like I had to close one eye in order to read stuff, and I was overly conscious of my breathing for some reason . This was my first time trying gabapentin so no tolerance. Does anyone know what I did wrong and how I can do it properly?

If I take gabapentin (600mg) several times a week, I feel incredibly dumb. I try to read and cannot retain anything. I try to watch a documentary, I cannot keep up with the facts. I try to have a conversation that goes beyond surface level and suddenly I have the vocabulary of a 3rd grader. Stringing together a thought feels like so much work that I just give up on it. It seriously feels like its making me dumber.
This is such a shame because gabapentin is what pushes me to read, watch new stuff, talk to people in the first place -- only to pull the rug out from under me.
Anybody have similar feelings?

What’s the sweet spot for this stuff? I’ve done this much before but I never considered that maybe less is more? Did I pass up the dose that actually feels really good?

Hey guys, I have 1800mg(6-300mg capsules) of gabapentin right now. I’m just wondering if that would be enough, and is taking it every 30 or 45 minutes better? I’m going to take 300mg right now and I’ll update in a bit!

It’s strange, like I feel kind of drunk but also really energised. I see loads of people talk about how they feel sedation and relaxed/euphoria, but I never have felt that way from it.

I don't have access to regular IR gaba anymore but my doctor wrote me 300 mg extended release gaba called Conventin XR (or Gralise in the US.)
It just hit me that it is a film coated tablet, and that if I split it that would break the extended release mechanism.
So if I split it, can I use it recreationally? And has any of you done this before or experienced it?
Thanks!

I have been prescribed gabapentin for alcohol. I have found myself popping multiple 300 milligram pills a day. I just took another two after taking three a few hours ago and I also had atleast four earlier today.
Will I be okay lol

Hello I take 1200mg gabapentin daily for around 2 months would missing a daily dose puts me in danger for seizure? Is it common at my dosages? What you know or have experienced?

I'm starting a new job after being unemployed for a while. My shift will be from 11 am to 7 pm or so. If I take 900 mg staggered 300 mg every 30 mins say starting at 9 am, how long will this last me throughout the day?
I'm hoping it lasts at least the 8 hour shift, if more that would be awesome so I can chill after work.
Let me know your experience/insight and help me develop a schedule and routine my good folks 🙏🏼

I have been prescribed gabapentin 700mg/die for shacking hands
It's the second day I take It. The doctor said It could be working after a month
I am afraid of addiction because I read It can cause It on the vademecum. I don't want that. I just want my hands to not shacke while working hospital wards (I'm a nurse student)
Maybe my doctor Is wrong about this prescription? I asked for beta blockers but he said we could try the if gabapentin won't work
