I bought this Gameboy Color Pikachu Edition on eBay but I am not really sure if it’s legit or fake maybe someone can help?

Battery is horizontal? I was almost fooled by the embossed numbers and 4 gold squares. Can someone just confirm its not real

I'm still waiting on the seller to send photos of the inside of the cart but I was hoping it's possible to tell from the outside.

In addition to the question above, I wondered if the pins and motherboard on Ruby look clean? I’ve been having an issues with the game white screening while booting up, not booting up at all, as well as the audio glitching out. I cleaned the pins with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip, but these issues seem to keep reoccurring, albeit less frequent than before. Let me know your thoughts, any help is greatly appreciate!
