Discussion Loose, CIB, CIB+ or Sealed. How do you collect?
I prefer CIB+, but will buy a sealed copy if the price isn't much higher than a pristine copy that comes with all the inserts.

What systems are the hottest right now. I’ve been collecting for SNES for a while now. Have naturally moved to N64 and have noticed prices rising. In everyone’s personal experience, particularly those that are in the business, which systems are in the highest demand currently?

Is it safe to iron out this box? The only cardboard insert I have in my collection. It's actually in worse shape than the photo shown.

Curious as to what former collectors have mentally gone through after a shift in life has prompted stepping away from game collecting.
Please share.
Were you ever at a stage where you forgot you already had something and bought something twice, etc.

Buying digital will never replace the experience of opening a fresh video game case.
And the smell of it

Hello!
I will be traveling to Austin next month and want to hit up some of the best retro gaming stores in the area.
I have an interest in PSP and OG Xbox if that’s any help. Mostly, I just wanna see some cool stores and bring some cool stuff home for my collection.
Please leave me your favorite stores/shops!

Hey everyone, I’m just looking for some support from like minded people I guess.
Recently my house flooded and virtually my entire game collection was ruined. My wife saw it first and told me it was bad but it wasn’t until I made it home that I realized how bad it was. Complete devastation.
I honestly didn’t think it would hit me as hard as it has. I mean games are just material possessions to most people. I guess to me though my collection represented much more. It was so many memories from growing up. My collection began in the ps1 era and I’ve been collecting for every PlayStation since. Primarily jrpgs and so many of them are way too expensive to buy back.
I don’t know, I just feel silly that I’m sorta depressed by losing pieces of plastic. Most people would call me overly dramatic but to me those games represented a childhood and some really great memories.
Has anyone else experienced losing their collection? How did you handle it? Any support you can lend?
Thanks everyone!

I picked up first 3 Gears of War games because I’ve never played them before and apparently they’re incredible games.
I thought they would be great additions to my Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition I purchased a month ago.
Let me know if anyone has any tips regarding the campaigns etc.
Thanks in advance! 🙌

Not sure why I’ve had such a hard time finding this CIB. Happy to finally have it.

I started my collecting journey after my first trip to Japan, and it quickly snowballed into what you see here!
Before that, I was actually a huge adopter of digital games to "save space." I never really thought about what I was giving up just for convenience. But with everything going on with digital “ownership” lately, it feels more important than ever to continue buying physical copies. Also fun activity to do with my gf.
Just wanted to share my progress with people who get it! Have any of you had a similar "wake-up call" that made you switch back to physical or did you never stop?

Admittedly some of the cases are empty, it’s cheaper buy them in bulk.

I’ve been mostly a digital gamer for years, but recently I’ve started getting more into physical collecting. Here’s my game room and my slowly increasing physical collection.

Just grabbed this, trying to buy all my childhood games before they inevitably skyrocket higher in price!
