2026.09.22 - User Post +0, 26c - [OoT] So I got a very huge spoiler.
2026.09.22 - User Post +0, 8c - [OoT] Spoiler rule for remake screenshots needed.
From our General Spoiler Policy, which applies even outside of new releases:
Minor spoilers such as area titles, dungeon names, and character references are allowed but all Major spoilers including boss weaknesses, puzzle solutions, and any large story plot points must be tagged and flaired at all times.
For new releases, we also consider anything that has not been officially revealed by Nintendo to be spoilers as a starting point. Over the new release period, we revise and relax the spoiler policy, starting with more common or early game elements, until we effectively reach the general spoiler policy.
Additionally, we implement several automated flows to manage spoilers during new release periods, and we apply temporary bans even for accidental unmarked spoilers. Outside the new release period, only trolling-based or intentional unmarked spoilers are given a ban, so accidental unmarked spoilers would generally be provided a warning first.
A much more detailed version of our spoiler policy is available here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/wiki/rules/spoilerpolicy
The main impact of the spoiler policy is what is or is not allowed in post titles, as that is the part of the post that cannot be hidden under a spoiler tag, and it shows up in home feeds, search results, social media or external embeds, and so on. People are still allowed to post about spoilery topics, but their post titles must explain the kind of spoiler while being vague enough to not reveal it.
Right now, all publicly revealed information regarding Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 points to the game having much of the same content in regards to spoilers as the previous releases on N64 and 3DS.
We do not know if, or to what extent, that Nintendo may or may not have revised the game. They could have changed very little, or they could simply be avoiding marketing any significant changes as a way to hold them as surprises. Some potential examples where Nintendo has opportunity to introduce content which could differ from previous releases:
You may think that these examples are likely or unlikely, but in any case like these above, we would apply the New Release Spoiler Policy to such information.
This still leaves two big questions open for feedback:
1) Should the major plot points of previous released versions of Ocarina of Time be treated under the New Release Spoiler Policy? We currently have this written into the existing spoiler policy to be enforced. Example: In the Light Arrow Cutscene, Shiek is revealed to be Zelda.
2) Should the closeness or difference of the Switch 2 version's major plot points to previous versions be considered a spoiler? This is not currently written into our spoiler policy. Consider these example post titles:
"[OoT] I just beat the game, and the ending is exactly the same as the original, I can't believe it"
"[OoT] I just beat the game, and you won't believe the twist that changed so many things."
Let us know if there are other concerns or thoughts you have about the spoiler policy.
We are hosting a 7-day poll directly after this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/1wni14u/oot_please_vote_to_help_us_shape_the_spoiler/
At the conclusion of that poll, we will post another update about the Spoiler Policy based on the poll results and the comments on both posts.
We are preparing a few other announcements for the next few weeks, and with the spike of activity here, that includes opening moderator applications. Send us a modmail if you would like to be notified when moderator applications are open.

Nintendo Today posted a segment called “Instrument-Playing Link” and as we know that Zelda game mostly have had Link playing an instrument or other musical “something” (Wolf Howls for TP).
We all know that the Hero of the Wild is missing such musical additions. But we also know that in the concept art of Creating a Champion, they show Link with a guitar(2nd slide) which is cool. But never used.
Back to Nintendo Today. They have art of Link using the Accordion like how Kass does. Is Kass and his instrument a stand in for Links music addition for BotW. And with Kass missing in TotK, that makes it even more noticeable that Kass isn’t there if he is Links “instrument”.
I worded this so poorly. But the point was to question if the accordion was BotW Link’s legally appointed instrument.

All credit to Jeremy Fenske for his original artwork.(my image is heavily inspired by his drawing, so I won't take credit for the creativity)
I'm not quite done yet - I know that some character details are off and the lightings a bit strange.
I drew the horse to be like the one he uses in game, so I thought that was pretty cute.
I absolutely love watching him play (Botw and Totk), the atmosphere and art style of the games are just legendary.

This is from the Zelda Symphony in 2018, I think? The shade of green looks absolutely beautiful and they got his different vibe perfectly in the nose and eyebrows.

Ive played botw and totk atleast 5 times each, (played windwaker too, but i was younger.) but when i got hit with the 19th ‘demon king??????secret stone?????’ I deceided it was time to expand my horizons. NS2 is the only console i have, so i deceidid to start with skyward sword because its the first chronologically, and because i know its on switch two. Dunno what i’ll play after it; probably majoras mask or oot remake. Also idk why i even posted ts

I’ve seen so many people say that SS designs are ugly, and honestly, I don’t share that opinion.
The game models aren't the best, but their designs in the official artwork are truly gorgeous, some of my favorites in the saga.

I can still remember how I watched someone else play The Wind Waker as a child. At the end of the Wind Temple, observing that gigantic steel snake breaking out of the sand that swallowed the Hylian stone platform before and flying across the hall left a lasting impression on me.
After the relatively calm temple, this was such a surprise. I couldnt imagine how Link would be able to destroy such a creature and probably was relieved that it was not me holding the controller. I even remembered a semi-false memory where the creature did an even more scary roar.
Years later, this incredible intro and the great fight music had remained in my head longer than the battle itself :/ the only thing I missed in retrospective was the name of the boss being displayed, like in the other 3D games. (The one in the picture is from me)
What intro sequence of a non-final boss left a significant impression on you?
